This docking station is excellent!

I connect this to an Onkyo TX-SR508 (AV Receiver).

My only con is video-out (to TV) required RCA from AV Receiver Monitor-Out port to TV. I was hoping that the HDMI-out port would work but it doesn’t for this receiver (I think it might for some of the [more expensive] receivers). What this means is that I have to switch my TV input from HDMI 1 to Video 1 because the video-out is connected from the Monitor-Out on the AV Receiver to the RCA-In on the TV; this is the only device that I have connected where I have to change the TV Input, so a little annoying, but really no biggie.

Many pros on this unit. The AV Receiver remote works well so can easily skip to next or previous song. The remote also can scroll through the iPod’s menus, playlists, and/or songs, which is very handy, but that can be slow if you have a lot of navigation. If I’m doing stuff other the Next or Previous I’ll usually change it on the iPod itself. Probably the most important part of this is that the sound quality is great. Also, the video quality is great, especially considering it is connected from AV Receiver to TV via RCA (instead of the AV Receiver’s HDMI Out).

I wish I didn’t need that RCA-Out from AV Receiver to TV, but other than that this unit has met my expectations, especially with the audio and video quality.
