I ordered (also from Amazon) a Celestron 4 SE “GOTO” telescope and a few accessories for it. Due to the fact that NexStar scopes still use serial connections and most new laptops only have USB ports, this item was a necessity. After booting into Linux and connecting the adapter, I typed “dmesg | grep tty” to confirm that it was working, and it was. After entering the result (”/dev/ttyUSB0″) into Stellarium’s (excellent, free planetarium software) telescope plug-in, I was able to click on Jupiter in Stellarium and have the scope move to put it into view.
As an added note, Windows Vista (which I seldom use) required that I download the driver from TrendNet, as it couldn’t locate a driver on its own.

I know a lot of reviews say you can do without this, but this is actually my favorite part of the package. In fact, this is the only part of the proactiv system that I use. I’ve grown tired of using all kinds of products on my face cause they over dry my skin, make it feel tight, bleach my towels, etc. This product, however, does wonders for the overall look of my skin without any of those annoying effects from the benzoyl peroxide containing components. Be aware, however, that this product does nothing to bacteria since it has no benzoyl so if you have really active acne make sure you are using something else with this. But yeah, I think this stuff makes my skin look more vibrant. Thumbs up.

I had one of these for a few weeks but I returned it and purchased a Dewalt 18v drill/hammerdrill (DC925KA). The problem isn’t with the tool itself, that is why I gave it 5 stars. As fas a a small bodied cordless impact driver goes, this thing is awesome. Very well balanced and ever so light for an 18v tool. My thoughts are this is best suited for assembly or maybe taking things apart. Not for drilling holes. The downside, it is an impact driver, not a drill. The drills have speed controls and torque settings. The impact does not. Well, in a sense I guess they do but they are controlled thru the trigger, not a physical switch or dial. I had purchased the 3/8 inch keyless chuck for the impact and it worked nicely also. Once again though, this impact driver is not a drill. It does not have the features of a drill because it is a different type of tool. I was told that if I bought the impact I would never want another drill. Well, I proved that wrong. The drill is bigger and heavier BUT, it will handle a 1/2 inch drill bit. The impact and keyless chuck will not. It is 3/8″ as I stated earlier. They say the batteries last way longer on the impact driver. I do not know if this is true. When I returned the impact and told the store manager why he agreed with me. He has the same impact but he also has a drill. His words were “It really is hard if this is all you have”. Being that I am using this as a home owner type of tool and not on a job site I need something that is more universal than the impact. As I said though, if you need an impact driver, this thing is awesome. If I ever have the need for an impact this will be the one I go for, no question about it. Oh, one last thing. You cannot use this tool for lugnuts on your car. Once they are broken loose you can take them off with it and then run them back on with it. Any breaking loose and tightening MUST be done with a larger torque wrench or a lug wrench. Just figured I would throw that in as I have read some reviews where people were complaining because it wouldn’t work for that appliaction.

The sixth season of this brilliant drama opens with the two-part “Broken,” which finds Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie) still in the psychiatric facility he’d voluntary checked himself into at the conclusion of Season 5. We get a glimpse of a plainly broken House, struggling to recapture himself with the help of a psychiatrist as stubborn as himself (played by Andre Braugher) and the relative of a fellow patient (Franka Potente).
As the season progresses, there are a number of particularly strong and memorable episodes, including “Moving the Chains” (episode 13) where the viewers finally get to meet Foreman’s long-troubled brother (Orlando Jones) and “Lockdown” (episode 17) where the entire hospital is under lockdown when a newborn goes missing and various staffers find themselves in unusual situations with colleagues they might not ordinarily spend time with.
Then, there’s “5 to 9,” the 14th episode of the season, which is seen entirely through the eyes of hospital director Dr. Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein). We see just how frustrating and difficult her day at the hospital is, dealing not only with the stubborn and often sneaky House, but the board of directors and many others. Her day, which begins before dawn and ends long after most others are already in bed, is only compounded by her private investigator boyfriend and troubles with her sick baby Rachel.
Finally, the last episode 22 – “Help Me” – finds all our main characters at the site of a devastating building collapse. Not only does House find himself in physical and mental turmoil as events unfold, but a crossroads with Cuddy.
As always, this season is full of intriguing stories and strong acting.

Ten to fifteen dollars for a set of chalk probably seems expensive but this really is different and fun. The kids used over half of it the first day they got it and played with it for hours. It’s also a pretty good way to teach them how the optical illusion of 3D works.
Considering how many different toys are out there in this price range this is one of the best for the price. It’s fun for the kids, since it’s outdoor chalk it’s not messy (inside 
, it’s educational and creative, and it doesn’t take up a lot of room (i.e. it doesn’t junk up the play room) or make annoying noises (or require batteries). It really is just about the perfect small gift.
As a present that the kids will enjoy and the parents will still invite you over it’s ideal.

This product works like advertised. May of you complain that you cannot get it to work. I was having trouble with that as well. My TV has 3 HDMI ports. I hooked my lap top to this device and then into HDMI port 3. That one was on the side of the TV and just plain easier to access for my test run. No luck. Tried every video out setting the laptop supported and the TV reported that it was not supported by the TV.
So I did the unthinkable… I broke out the TV manual to find out what modes WERE supported. Interestingly, only HDMI Port 2 supports VGA input. Pulled the TV away from the wall to expose HDMI port 2, plugged the HDMI cable in, and bam works like a charm.
So if you are thinking about getting this product, read your TV manual. Make sure it will support an PC input over one of the HDMI ports. Then when you get this product make sure you plug into that HDMI port, not one of the other ones that might be easier to access.

I never saw or heard Bob Dylan before this documentary. What was I doing in the sixties when this film was made and Dylan was becoming a star: I was busy working to earn a living. Do/did I understand what this audience was feeling about themselves and the world: No, I was years over thirty and had already performed my military service in an earlier war than that which the young men in these audiences were so terrified over the possibility of being drafted to serve in. Does that mean I did not enjoy this documentary: not at all; while the sentiments expressed by Dylan and the folk singing tradition were both quite familiar to one who was a child in the thirties and a college student in the forties, Lerner, who is of the same vintage as I, was able to surmount time and place, by an admirable job of filming and editing, letting the performances speak for themselves.dI would certainly recommend the film for those too young or too old to have shared the experience, as well as those who can relive a part of their youth here.

After a lot of online shopping, I decided to give this unit a try. We’ve had it for a couple months now and I’m loving it! It has plenty of power to handle frozen fruit and ice, and the stir stick is great for making sure everything is evenly blended. It’s pretty quick to use, and easy to clean up. The switch has pulse, low, and high speed settings, and the dispenser spout works very well. The glass pitcher is plenty large, and it’s easy to unscrew the base and spout separately for cleaning.
Don’t waste your time with regular blenders that can barely chop ice, get one of these and you’re ready for healthy smoothies or some icy adult beverages.
